This thicker plating offers better durability than standard fashion jewelry. However, it’s important to note that all plated jewelry will eventually fade—how quickly depends on how it is worn and cared for. We recommend removing plated necklaces before swimming, showering, or exercising, and storing them in a dry place. While plated necklaces are beautiful and affordable, they are not designed for lifetime wear without re-plating.
